On her wedding day, Eleanor Vance expects to step into the bridal Rolls-Royce. Instead, her fiancé Julian orders her into a cramped backup SUV so his “carsick” secretary Sophia can ride beside him. Humiliated in front of guests and filmed by jealous coworkers, Eleanor refuses to break. When a staged car accident keeps her from the ceremony, Sophia steals her gown, her aisle, and Julian’s kiss. But Eleanor has one card left: Christian Thorne, her childhood best friend and the powerful heir who has loved her for years. Within an hour, Eleanor and Christian are legally married. Then they return to the reception with a marriage certificate and a smile. Julian thinks he can still control the bride he discarded. He has no idea she is done begging for respect. This time, Eleanor is upgrading more than her ride—she is upgrading her whole life forever, and destroying his empire too.
